The teacher-child ratio for early intervention education is important as it ensures each student receives the individual attention they need. At Littlefoot our teacher to student ratio is 1:3. Having a low ratio allows teachers to have more time to focus on each student and ensure that they are meeting their educational goals.

Littlefoot believes in creating a positive environment in which children are encouraged to learn and thrive. Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is implemented throughout the day to help manage behaviours This includes strategies such as positive reinforcement, visual and verbal cues, and strategies to promote self-regulation.

Our program utilizes classroom settings to mimic a traditional school setting, offering structure and visual prompts to help children understand and learn. We use a variety of sensory, motor, academic, and play activities to help children grow and develop, while having fun. 

This non-invasive, drug-free intervention uses audio and visual cues to help the child's brain create new pathways and strengthen existing connections. It is a safe and effective way to optimize the brain's performance, helping children to focus, learn, and thrive.

Speech therapists work with children to develop their language and communication skills, helping them to better express themselves and interact with their environment. Speech therapy is an important part of our early intervention program, as it helps children develop their social skills and build confidence in their abilities.

Occupational therapy is one of the many tools that can be used to help children develop the skills they need to achieve success. Occupational therapy focuses on helping children learn how to complete everyday activities, such as dressing, hygiene, eating, and more. It also focuses on helping children develop fine motor skills and sensory processing.
